Dr Kwame Adjei-Mantey hosted a validation workshop with various stakeholders in Ghana's energy, environmental protection, and education.
Dr Adjei-Mantey disseminated the findings, followed by stakeholder deliberation. He discussed the potential policy options and the actions that could be taken from the perspective of the respective institutions and requests for the type of results they would like to see going forward with the research. He investigated environmental consciousness, and my findings suggest the need for the school curriculum to include the teaching of environmental issues to school children.
One of the event's highlights was the presence of the Director General of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment. This body is responsible for what goes into the teaching curriculum for Ghana's primary, junior high, and senior high education. We had some excellent discussions over the way forward.
