Stories that teach about climate change

The objective of this research project was to co-design and co-develop interactive and storytelling learning resources on climate change for grade three learners in Kenya. Significant progress has been made in developing samples following classroom observations and interviews with stakeholders. These interactive online resources were developed in collaboration with the key stakeholders – teachers, learners and curriculum developers (phase 1) – and have been refined through consultations with teachers and curriculum developers to ensure they are pedagogically appropriate (phase 2), and tested by learners to assess their usability. The final phase of development (phase 3) will focus on evaluating learning outcomes from the resources. This involves conducting post-tests with learners on climate change knowledge, skills and attitudes.
