In celebration of South Africa’s 30 years of democracy, the University of Johannesburg (UJ) hosted a significant colloquium on 18-19 July 2024, exploring the role of whistleblowing in combating corruption and fostering social development. The colloquium, titled Breaking the Chains of Corruption: Whistleblowing as a Catalyst for Social Development in South Africa, provided a platform for dialogue among academics, practitioners, policymakers, and civil society representatives.

RESEARCH LEADERSHIP FELLOWSHIP
The Future Africa Research Leadership Fellowship (FAR-LeaF) is an early career research fellowship program focused on developing transdisciplinary research and leadership skills.
The programme seeks to build a network of emerging African scientists who have the skills to apply transdisciplinary approaches and to collaborate to address complex challenges in the human well-being and environment nexus in Africa.
